Recently, The Phils. & China made an agreement for a broadband service last April 21, 2007, during Pres. GMA visit at Bao, China.
Its a good thing that the government are thinking of some ways to improve the local processing easier but what is not sooo..unreasonable is the amount to be consumed. The Philippines is said to borrow almost P16 Billion or a whopping $330 million dollars in a chinesse bank which is to be paid to ZTE Corp. for the said broadband project. So, what does SMART, GLOBE , PLDT & other telecom that offers broadband services do? It is said that these local telecom industries can provide what the national government dealed for to ZTE Corp. Why does the government have to deal with these international telecom company which can cost lots of money when our local telecom companies can provide in a lot cheaper way?

According through sources, ZTE Corp - A telecom company in China - is being driven out in some countries for some Graft & Bribery Cases. Its been hated worldwide like Burma, Indonesia, Ecuador, Ethopia, Libya, LIberia and Mexico but having a warm welcome in R.P. ZTE Corp. promised broadband services, phonelines and wi-fi access to these countries but failed to deliver what they have used to do after the deal. the Company comes in dolling big cash to public corrupt officials in exchange for juicy contracts ( Like what happened to DOTC Sec. Leandro Mendoza )

With the ZTE Corp & R.P Deal, generations of RP people will have to repay a loan for years and another record dept for us internationally. Imagine the amount of P16 billion pesos to be paid by the Taxpayers of the Philippines.

According to executives and economist, the said amount should be used in building 35,000 classrooms, 6,000 rural health centers, 120,000 artesian wells and millions of textbooks, armchairs, medicines and houses for the unfortunate ones.

Now...with these said project, too much money will be wasted or if not will be uesd greedily by people who are not contented with what they have in their bellies. Theses CROCO's should be burned to death, skinned alive and be executed in public.
